The Lebanon Branch of the L&N Railroad served the Lebanon and Marion County areas for 134 years (1857-1991). One of the Louisville & Nashville railroad’s slogans was “Private Builder and Public Servant”. The Lebanon Branch Preservation Trust is committed to continuing that nearly a century and a half legacy of service to the public.

As such, a central part of our organization’s mission is to serve the local community through our efforts to preserve the history of the Lebanon Branch of the L&N railroad. Positive outcomes of our organization’s efforts will be the education of the public, the expansion of local tourism, and expanded economic opportunities.
